We close the Bruegel Annual Meetings with a lecture by Esther Duflo.  She will draw on some arguments from her and Abhijit Banerjee’s 2019 book “Good economics for hard times” showing their relevance in the current crisis. She also strikes a hopeful note by arguing that today’s crisis can present opportunities for the future.
